End of October we made it to Abilene, Texas. We skipped a few posts on here due to time.
We stayed at Dyess AFB. One sure way to know you're truly in Texas is HEB.
Did our first hike in Texas.
Pasqualey proudly introduced me to all the planes on base. I always take pics of sunrises and sunsets. Can't think of a better way to start and end each day.
And now we winter in Comfort, Texas | Nov - April
We are exactly 1 hour away from Lauramay and her family and the best part is, she has no clue that we're surprising her a little early.
November
We let Miles go in first to find his mama, Lauramay. Nor sure who cried more, Lauramay or Miles. And Brandi too.
December
December 13, 2022 brought us a 5 week early surprise. Eloise May came into our lives.
January
We had a surprise party for Lauramay and one of her sisters flew down from CT to surprise her too. Lots of family time.
And with all the joy, we also had some pretty heavy sadness. We said goodbye to our sweet boy, Miles. He truly lived the greatest life. At almost 16 years old, he traveled all over the US, hiked up and down mountains, ran on beaches and had an absolute blast.

February
We went exploring at Stonehenge 2 in Ingram, TX. The history behind this is pretty interesting.
March
Lyndon B. Johnson Ranch
The heifers are from the original blood line of LBJ's heifers. There are about 200 on the ranch still. This young man is the keeper of the 3 inside the barn.
The Elephant Preserve
Did you know the bottom of an elephants foot is a soft as a babies bottom? We got up close and personal with these majestic creatures and even got to help bathe one.
Sleepovers at Grandma and Nonno's camper. Meanwhile Lauramay and Elliemay are taking advantage of mid-day quiet naps.
April
April 15 was our last day in Texas. It's been a fun few months here. We'll miss them so much but the snow is melting and the road is calling.
Stay tuned...
